Modeh Ani – Gratitude in Prayer and Art | Thanksgiving Virtual Event

As Thanksgiving approaches,  FJC and American-Israeli artist Ruth Kestenbaum Ben-Dov invite you to explore prayers and paintings that spring from a deep and complex sense of gratitude. The one-hour session will include text and image, discussing Jewish sources and Israeli paintings, and offering new perspectives that we can take with us to our holiday celebration.

Ruth Kestenbaum Ben-Dov is an American-born Israeli artist who fuses observational painting with investigations of place, language and identity. Her work is featured in discourse and exhibitions on Israeli painting and contemporary Jewish art, has been exhibited in museums and galleries in Israel, and is part of private and public collections in Israel and the U.S.
