SUMMER PROGRAM

July 7 – 24, 2025

Learn Hebrew, Explore Your Judaism & Support Israel!

Live in Jerusalem and engage with Israeli society, learn to speak Hebrew at any level, pray at the Western Wall, and walk the city’s ancient streets during our 3-week Summer Experience program. We are located in the heart of Jerusalem, just five minutes on foot from all of the city center’s shops, restaurants, and cultural institutions and a 10 minute walk from the Old City.

Enjoy daily opportunities to pray together, study Jewish texts, learn and speak modern Hebrew in our Ulpan Intensive, and explore Jerusalem with students from around the world!

We are excited to continue our partnerships with Keilim Masorti UK and Marom South America. We are also excited to continue our French VeAhavta program and our fully customizable volunteering tracks.

ULPAN INTENSIVE

Immerse yourself in Hebrew with our long-standing Ulpan BaBayit classes!

The Summer Experience program is an opportunity for students from everywhere, at all skill levels, to study Hebrew with our world-class faculty in an intimate, congenial setting with students of all ages from around the world.

We offer six levels of Ulpan, from beginner to advanced, to ensure each student’s needs are met.

VOLUNTEER THIS SUMMER

Working with Volunteer Coordinator Terry Hendin, the Summer Program affords the unique opportunity to engage with Israeli society, where you can volunteer with a local non-profit, educational or cultural institution matched to your skills and interests.

Each track includes thorough orientation, preparation, and professional support throughout the experience. Please allow ample travel time to and from your volunteer placement, in addition to the times listed below. Hebrew is not essential, but always useful. If you apply to a volunteering track, Terry will contact you to begin personalizing your experience.

A minimum commitment 9 hours, over at least 3 days, per week. This option enables you to spend the rest of your week in any of the other classes and programming offered in our summer program.

Volunteer Only

Terry did an unbelievably good job organizing my volunteer position. She took care of everything and made sure that I knew where to be and what to do. I could not think of anything better!

I really appreciate the daily Schacharit services and the option to pray at the Kotel. A huge thanks to Rabbi Joel! Schacharit together made a huge difference for me and my days.

Overall, my experience at the Fuchsberg Jerusalem Center was an immersive and thought provoking one. I have never studied at a yeshiva before, nor engaged in critical biblical study for an extended period of time. The centre’s staff were always welcoming, friendly and helpful. The course was well designed in combining biblical, Talmudic and philosophical approaches.

Looking back on my experience, I feel more connected to both Israel and my identity as a Jew (and as a Jew-By-Choice).

I started in the aleph class with ze’ev and learned some fundamentals and after about a week was moved up to the aleph plus class for a bit more of a challenge. Both teachers were excellent at meeting all the students where they were at and accommodating to different levels and experiences with Hebrew. The teachers grew with us and encouraged us to speak in Hebrew when possible and helped clarify anything that was confusing.
