The History of the Haggadah in Texts and Illustrations | CY Alumni Virtual Event

In this virtual shiur we will focus on the Mah Nishtanah text and what it can teach us about the development of the Seder. We will look at some of the earliest written Haggadot and at some illustrated Haggadot from the medieval period.

… And if everyone is good, we can finish up by looking at Dr. Kulp’s two favorite Haggadot – the Bird’s Head Haggadah and the “Monk’s Haggadah” a Haggadah preserved in a German monastery and commented on in Latin by a 15th century priest.
