
Sharon Mayevsky
Biography
Sharon is a creator and facilitator of life cycle ceremonies, from guiding couples to their wedding chuppah to end-of-life pastoral care. Sharon studied theater and musicology at Seminar Hakibbutzim and at Hebrew University, and completed a master’s degree writing a thesis on women and performance art.
Sharon is a graduate of screenwriting studies at Sam Spiegel and was a fellow in the “Leadership in Jewish Culture” program at the Mandel Institute. Her plays have been performed at theater and performance festivals in Israel and around the world.
For years Sharon has been a feminist activist and was involved in the struggle against sexual violence and in creating feminist discourse in religious communities throughout the country.
Sharon practices yoga and meditation, is a member of Jerusalem’s “Hakhel” community, and is known on social media as “Rabbi Pashmina.”
