50th Anniversary Israel Mission

Fuchsberg Jerusalem Center’s 50th Anniversary Mission exceeded every expectation.

From Jerusalem City Hall to the Tel Aviv Port, and from the heights of Kabbalat Shabbat in the Zucker Synagogue to the simple pleasures of reconnecting with dear friends face-to-face, we studied, prayed, explored, laughed, remembered and dreamt of what is next for FJC.

Arrival And Kick Off

Welcome to Israel! Upon arrival to Ben Gurion International Airport, you will be met by representatives from Israel Maven and Fuchsberg Jerusalem Center.

It is important that you  keep your blue slip from Passport Control throughout the trip.

Meet with Conservative Yeshiva students and join a class in the Yeshiva taught by CY faculty

Visit the Knesset for a tour and opportunity to meet with Members of Knesset

Theatrical tour in the picturesque neighborhoods of Nachlaot by Ariel Keren and Friends. An opportunity to get a feel of different Jewish origins and backgrounds in Jerusalem.

ZOOM-IN: RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE FRONT AND CENTER
Engage in a fascinating dialog with Yizhar Hess, former CEO of Masorti Israel and vice chairman of the World Zionist Organization for a tour and discussion at the Jewish Agency. Following the discussion, you will be treated to a light lunch.

Travel to Tel Aviv

Visit the ANU Museum – the renewed Diaspora Museum, ANU – Museum of the Jewish People has positioned itself as a cutting-edge museum and cultural center, whose contemporary relevance is unrivaled. Meet with the chief curator of the Museum to hear about her vision with the renewal of the Museum.

Visit with “Hamifal”/”the Factory”, an art community that turned an abandoned 19th Century building in the heart of Jerusalem into a shared platform for art and culture right down the street from FJC. We will meet with Ruth Cummings, CEO of JCU – Jerusalem Culture Unlimited – and leading Jerusalem culture makers about the renewal of culture in Jerusalem
